Have you ever dreamt of following in the footsteps of your heroes and playing on the pitch at Ibrox? The Rangers Charity Foundation is holding four special fan matches at Ibrox on Tuesday 30th May. The Foundation is looking for just 120 players to fill eight squads of 15 so get in quick to make sure you don’t lose out on this dream experience.
It is first come first served and those who secure their place will follow in the footsteps of legends by playing on the famous pitch which has seen the likes of Gascoigne, Laudrup and McCoist entertain the Rangers faithful.
Players will enjoy a true First Team matchday experience from start to finish, beginning with entering Ibrox via the iconic Bill Struth Main Stand front door, getting changed in the official dressing rooms, running down the tunnel onto the pitch and playing a 90-minute game with match officials. There is even the opportunity to enjoy refreshments with your team mates and your guests in our Members Lounge after the match.
The cost to play is £325 with a £165 non-refundable deposit required when booking. The remainder can be paid right up until matchday on the 30th May. Players can either choose to pay the fee themselves or fundraise. Those who fundraise an additional £150 on top of the match fee will qualify for a True Blue Hero Medal which will be presented at a reception at Ibrox later in the year by a Rangers First Team Player.
Players can choose to play at either 9am, 12.30pm, 4pm or 7.30pm, can pick their position and whether to play in the Home or Away side, with 15 spots available on each. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis and are likely to sell out quickly. Each side will be made up of one goalkeeper, five defenders, five midfielders and four forwards. A starting 11 will be picked at random on the day for each team with a rolling substitution policy throughout the match. Rangers Community Coaches will be on hand throughout to help with warm-up, team selection and tactics.
